Talking Stain and Screaming Animals
For the first time in many years, I actually went to a Super Bowl party and actually watched the game. It was pretty pedestrian stuff, except for the fourth quarter. Tom Brady was sacked so many times his head must have been spinning.
However, I did enjoy the Super Bowl ads and thought I’d share my two favorites. First, the Bridgestone screaming animals ad:
I don’t know squat about Bridgestone tires, but I have used and recommend the Tide pen. I used one yesterday to remove a long-standing stain from a vintage beaded top, and it worked like a champ.
P.S. The stain didn’t talk.

I love the woman in the screaming animals ad. She looks so cartoony, and the expression on her “husband’s” face is hilarious. Could you imagine being hired for a commercial because you look funny screaming?By the way, the “related” videos that pop up when that commercial ends include a really creepy animation of an old Charlie Patton picture (blues singer, the song title includes the word “screaming”). I liked the other car ad. The one with the deer in headlights, Alice Cooper in headlights and Richard Simmons at the end.
