More Happiness (of the Crass Commercial Variety)
The Musical of Musicals at MetroStage is open and doing a booming business. We’re all having a great time – Russell Sunday, Janine Gulisano-
Sunday, Bobby Smith, Dan Kazemi and me – and the audiences seem to be enjoying themselves, too.
We run through June 3rd and perform Thursdays and Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 5 PM and 8:30 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM and 7 PM. It’s an hour and forty minutes of sheer silliness, and you don’t have to be a musical theatre buff to get the jokes (my sister Julie from New Hampshire saw it last week, and she thought it was hysterical – and she’s not what I’d call a theatre person).
Click on the link above to get tickets, or call 1-800-494-8497. It’s the perfect antidote to a long, dull winter.
Michael and I saw the Musical of Musicals last night (Thursday, April 26), and I haven’t laughed so hard in a long, long time. The production is done so well, and all of the actors/singers/dancer (since all do all in this show) gave a full-out performance throughout the show. Donna was wonderful, of course, and it is always a treat to see her. The Washington Post was dead on in their review – this is a must see! Thanks, Donna! jean and Mike
It was wonderful to see both of you in the house last night, Jean. I got out of costume as fast as I could but by the time I got into the lobby, you were gone. Sorry I missed you – but as I’m a sweaty disgusting mess at the end of this show, you’re probably not sorry you missed me.I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Hey, Donna, I would have given you a great big hug no matter what! I’m sorry we missed you, too.Best to ya, and break a leg, jean
I saw the show up here in NY at the York a couple of years ago and loved it, and KNEW it would be PERFECT for you Donna! FUN!!!
